Manhattan (After Sept. 11)

The word MANHATTAN in all caps letters of varying height looking like a downtown skyline, with the two Ts missing

Manhattan’s skyline, perhaps the most well recognised in the world, was tragically altered by terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers (on September 11, 2001). This typographic artwork attempts to depict the irreparable loss — literally and symbolically — caused by the horrific event.

The incident that shocked the world not only led to immediate loss of lives and property, but a much larger, unfathomable loss. It only increased the hostilities and went on to negatively affect families, businesses, relations and peace, across borders, perhaps to no avail..

(This graphic artwork was originally created on September 13, 2001, after witnessing the terrorist attacks live on television)
